Walford Park and Recreation MinutesRegular Meeting                                                                                                                  Tuesday March 6, 2018Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm by Miner.Roll Call: Gann, Miner, Reed were present.   Ellis and Meyers absentMotion to approve February minutes by Miner, seconded by Reed.  Approved unanimousMotion by Gann to allocate $300 toward annual Easter Egg Hunt, seconded by Miner.  Approved unanimous.Baseball ProgramPitching machine discussion, quoted BP2 Jugs machine details were reviewed. Motion by Gann to allocate $2600 to procure pitching machine per quote, seconded by Reed.  Approved unanimous.Field supplies discussion - needed annual maintenance items. Motion by Gann to allocate $700 for annual field maintenance items, seconded by Reed.  Approved unanimous Equipment discussion, inventory of reviewed by Gann. Motion by Gann to allocate $600 for baseball equipment, seconded by Reed.  Approved unanimous.Jersey/hat discussion based on quotes per February meeting. Motion by Miner to allocate $1600 for jersey/hat order, seconded by Reed. Approved unanimous.Equipment/Grounds/Trail/MaintenancePet waste disposal stations for ball diamond/walking trail and city park were reviewed, recommendation developed for 3 stations for walking trail/ball diamond and one station for city park. Motion by Reed to allocate $1400 for 4 Dogipot pet waste stations, seconded by Miner.  Approved unanimous.Discussion related to disc golf course for walking trail/ball diamond area was initiated.  Discussion tabled pending review of grounds/space for disc golf course.Citizen commentsNo citizens presentMotion to adjourn by Miner, seconded by Reed.  Meeting adjourned 8:30 pm.
