July 7th, 2020 – Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes

Walford Park and Recreation Minutes

Regular Meeting                                                                                                                         Tuesday July 7, 2020

Meeting called to order at 7:07 pm.  Lane, Gann, Miner present.  Primmer and Davis were absent.

Motion to approve minutes from June meeting by Gann.  Seconded by Miner.  Approved unanimous.

General baseball program discussion:

Motion to approve up to $300 for ball diamond field maintenance materials by Miner seconded by Gann.  Approved unanimous.

Additional discussion included field use frequency this year for practice teams.  It was also noted that College Community School District has reopened outdoor facilities on a limited, recreational use basis, but remain closed for athletic competitions or practices.

General equipment/grounds

Frisbee golf station bases are installed, posts and baskets being assembled.

Concrete pad for picnic table for park in Gaddis Estates still outstanding - delay of completion may require review of quotes and re-approval of funds allocation.

It was noted the lights and fixtures at the concession stand area remain in need of repair.

Volleyball court perimeter is being encroached on by grass/weeds.

Motion to adjourn by Miner.  Seconded by Lane.  Meeting adjourned at 8:03 pm.
