Work Session                                                                                              Wednesday September 16th, 2020

Work session called to order at 7:00 p.m., by Mayor Bill Voss.

Roll Call: Bauer, Carter, Pottebaum, Voss. Absent: Greiner.

Bauer moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Voss. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Council member Bauer - questioned the IDNR inspection timing, repairs not being done timely, and increased cost of operation of wastewater treatment plant.

Mayor Voss addressed questions - repairs were to be included within the UV Disinfection Project.

Wastewater operator Jarad Diedrich was present to discuss proposals for the  replacement and or repair of the VFD, PLC and flow meters. Council considered all options and cost. This will be an action item on the October agenda.

Kelli Scott and Nick Eisenbacher of Snyder and Associates were present to answer questions and report on the status of the UV Disinfection Project.

Council member Bauer- questioned engineer regarding IDNR deadline for the submittal of - plans for the UV Disinfection Project.  Council member Bauer – shared results of a discussion with a representative of the IDNR who confirmed that there is not a deadline for submittal of plans for the UV project. Council member Bauer- indicated a desire to not move forward with Snyder and Associates as the engineer on the UV Disinfection Project. 

Council member Pottebaum- inquired about PolyFix street repair. Mayor Voss - explained price difference will be an agenda item for October.

Council member Carter - inquired about property clean up. Mayor Voss reported - cleanup has been taken care of.

Bauer moved to adjourn the work session at 8:06 p.m., seconded by Carter. Roll Unanimous.
