Walford Park and Recreation Minutes

Regular Meeting                                                                                                Tuesday March 5th, 2024

Meeting called to order at 7:04 pm.  Heber, Hebert, Werner present.  Miner and Davis absent. 

Motion to approve February 8th meeting minutes by Heber, seconded by Hebert. 

Approved unanimously.

24/25 Softball/Baseball discussion

Review of 2023 rosters needed to determine potential 2024 numbers. As of 3/5/24, we have 63 registered players.

Motion to approve Baseball/Softball jersey and hat purchase of up to $2700 by Werner. seconded by Hebert. Approved unanimously.

Discussion/possible action regarding Parks & Rec Survey.

Postponed until April Meeting.

Discussion/possible action regarding Summer Picnic.

Motion to approve up to $2770 for expenses by Hebert. Seconded by Werner. Approved unanimously.

Face Painting, up to 2 hours / $250

H&H Fun Rides, 4 to 8 hours

General Equipment/Grounds/Maintenance

The Concession Stand Fan needs to be replaced as it is not functional. Will discuss with maintenance staff and obtain quotes by April 2nd meeting.

For spring - grading, dirt, and grass seeding around pickle ball court. Additionally, review the condition of the small diamond for safety with the maintenance crew prior to the week of April 18th.

Padlocks for the small field need to be reviewed for replacement. Will review with maintenance.
