Walford Park and Recreation Minutes

Regular Meeting                                                                                                Wednesday October9th, 2024

Meeting called to order at 7:02 pm.  Miner, Werner, Hebert, Hahn present.  Davis absent.

Motion by Miner to approve September 2024 minutes, seconded by Hahn.  Approved unanimous.

Possible action regarding 24-25 Softball/Baseball season - no action taken

Discussion/possible action regarding groundwork for Parks storage shed

Second bid to be acquired before action taken. 

Discussion/possible action regarding Halloween party

Supplies are on hand and discussion of possible need of volunteers 

Equipment/grounds/maintenance

Mulch is still not installed at City Park and ball diamond playground. 

Discussion included possible actions regarding small diamond improvements before 2025 season.  Motion by Hahn to approve up to $1500 for small diamond grounds renovation, including resetting of base anchors, pitcher plate, and home plate as well as edging and batting cage renovation, seconded by Werner.  Approved unanimous.

Reminder that diamond locking will begin November 1st per the Parks Board diamond access policy approved in July. 

Motion to adjourn by Miner, seconded by Hebert.  Meeting adjourned at 8:24 pm.
