November 4th, 2020 – Walford City Council Special Meeting Minutes

Walford City Council Proceedings

Special Meeting                                                                                            Wednesday November 4th, 2020

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m., by Mayor Bill Voss.

Roll Call: Bauer, Carter,  Pottebaum, Voss. Greiner was absent.

Bauer moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Pottebaum. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Pottebaum moved to rescind Resolution No. 10-20-5 approving the Purchase/Installation of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operational Equipment due to correction of cost, seconded by Bauer. Roll Call: Ayes: Bauer, Carter, Pottebaum. No: Voss based on Resolution process. Motion Carried.

Bauer introduced Resolution No. 11-20-1 Approving the Purchase/Installation of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operational Equipment, seconded by Roll Call: Aye: Bauer, Pottebaum, Voss. Carter approved without addition of relays & switches for communication to PLC. Motion Carried.

Bauer moved to authorize City Attorney to submit notification to Snyder & Associates for Termination of Services, seconded by Pottebaum. Roll Call: Aye: Bauer, Carter, Pottebaum. No: Voss.    Motion Carried.

Council Reviewed 7 Engineer Proposals, after careful consideration the following were chosen to be contacted for an interview. MMS Consultants, Veenstra & Kimm and Anderson Bogert. 

Carter moved to begin scheduling interviews with selected firms on November 18th, 2020, seconded by Pottebaum. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Bauer moved to go into closed session at 6:24 p.m., pursuit to Chapter 21.5 of the Iowa State Code, Paragraph (C)Seconded by Carter. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Bauer moved to return to open forum at 6:55 p.m., seconded by Pottebaum. Roll Call: Unanimous.

Voss moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:56 p.m., seconded by  Bauer. Roll Call: Unanimous.
