None Absent.Huber moved approval of the agenda as posted, seconded by Pegump. Roll Call: Unanimous.Voss moved approval of the minutes from May 14, 2018 as posted and published, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.Bergmeier moved approval of the May 31, 2018 Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Pegump. Roll Call: Unanimous.Pegump moved approval of the June Expenditures, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.A Public Hearing was held at 7:03 p.m. regarding Annexation request from property owners Gordon and Shirley Sevig. No written or oral objections received. Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of Annexation.Huber moved to close Annexation Hearing at 7:04 p.m., seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Aye: Huber, Kane, Pegump, Voss. Abstain: Bergmeier.A Public Hearing was held at 7:05 p.m. regarding Rezoning Request form property owners Gordon and Shirley Sevig from “A” Agricultural to “R-1” Single Family. Abstain: Bergmeier.Voss introduced the First reading of Ordinance No. 210 Amending the Walford Code of Ordinances 2017 by amending Chapter 165 Section 165.03 being the Zoning Ordinance, changing the Zoning District as shown on the Official Zoning Map property owned by Gordon and Shirley Sevig from “A” Agricultural to “R-1” Single Family, seconded by Huber. Roll Call: Aye: Huber, Kane, Pegump, Voss. Abstain: Bergmeier.Pegump moved to waive the Second and Third Readings of Ordinance No. 210 amending the Walford Code of Ordinances 2017 by amending Chapter 165, section 165.03 being Zoning Ordinance., seconded by Huber. Abstain: Bergmeier.Huber moved approval of the Final Adoption of Ordinance No. 210 amending the Walford Code of Ordinances 2017 by amending Chapter 165, Section 165.03 being the Zoning Ordinance, seconded by Kane. Abstain: Bergmeier.Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the Preliminary Plat, Plat waivers and Final Plat conditioned upon the determination by the City Engineer and the City attorney that all requirements of the City’s code have been met.Pegump moved approval of the Preliminary Plat for Schmidt Estates First Addition to Walford, Benton County, Iowa, seconded by Voss. Abstain: Bergmeier.Voss moved approval of the Final Plat waivers for Schmidt Estates First Addition to Walford, Benton County, Iowa, subject to City Engineer recommendations, seconded by Huber. Abstain: Bergmeier.Kane introduced Resolution 6-18-3 authorizing City Clerk to issue Warrants for Expenditures that may incur Late Fees or Discount Prior to the Regular Meeting, seconded by Bergmeier. Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane introduced Resolution No, 6-18-5 authorizing City Clerk to Transfer General Fund Revenue into the Debt Service Fund for Maintenance Building Principle and Interest Loan Payments, seconded by Pegump. Roll Call: Unanimous.Huber introduced Resolution No. 6-18-6 approval of the FY 18/19 Salaries for appointed Officers and Employees, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Huber, Kane, Pegump, Voss. Abstain: Bergmeier.Voss introduced Resolution No. 6-18-7 approving the FY 18/19 Employee Holiday Schedule, seconded by Kane. Roll Call: Unanimous.Voss introduced Resolution No. 6-18-8 setting IRS Mileage Rate, seconded by Kane.Roll Call: Unanimous.Kane introduced Resolution No. 6-18-9 approving the purchase of a Lawn Mower from P & K Midwest of Hiawatha, Iowa in the amount of $9,303.91, seconded by Pegump. Roll Call: Unanimous.Huber introduced Resolution No. 6-18-10 approving Used Truck Purchase from Tys Automotive Group of Blairstown, Iowa in the amount of $13,500.00, seconded by Kane.
