Walford Park and Recreation MinutesRegular Meeting                                                                                                                  Tuesday August 7, 2018Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Miner.  Roll Call Miner, Gann, Reed.  Meyers and Lane absent.Motion by Reed to approve July meeting minutes.  Seconded by Gann.  Approved Unanimous.Annual Halloween PartyJennifer Bergmeier present to detail Halloween party plans for Saturday October 27, 2018.  Decorations and games planned, treats, juice boxes, goodie bags, inflatables planned.Motion by Gann to allocate $450 to fund Halloween Party, seconded by Reed, approved unanimous.Baseball ProgramIABA state tournament occurred Saturday, August 4.  Teams from Walford, Allison, Muscatine, and Fairfax competed.Equipment/Grounds/MaintenanceDiscussion continued regarding disc golf stations.  Agreement 5 stations could be accommodated at ball diamond park area. Discussion tabled pending specific cost of 5 disc golf stations.Discussion regarding infant toddler swings occurred - swings at Noelridge Park were discussed as an example for Parks Board to consider.Citizen CommentsMotion to adjourn by Miner, seconded by Reed.
